The completed design uses 120 containers that were retrofitted into bedrooms, shipped by truck and simply interconnected on site. This 60-room shipping container-based modular hotel is virtually indistinguishable from a conventional site-constructed building."

Today, Gan and Choy operate the family-owned company, Liberty Hospitality Corp. "We've had lots of experience working with other brands in our past lives," says Gan. "At the end of the day, it comes down to the people you work with and the team at Realstar has been great. We have a very good relationship with them on the Kingston property and other properties in our portfolio."

The Days Inn – Barrie is a 78-room limited service hotel. It opened in October 2003, and was sold by the Liberty Hospitality Corporation in 2013.
